Delta Zeta Sorority
As Vice President, it was my responsibility to prepare the chapter for recruiting new members. I worked with a chapter for 30 women to recruit 20 women in three days. We participated in informal recruitment as well as Fall Formal Recruitment. I planned and hosted over 20 workshops and an over night retreat in preparation for recruitment that year. As President, I planned weekly chapter and executive board meetings.
Recruitment.
As Vice President, it was my responsibility to prepare the chapter for recruiting new members. Working with the Panhellenic Council, Nationals, and my chapter I was able to plan recruitment based on our values as a chapter. Recruitment lasted three days I designed, planned, and decorated each day following a strict budget. I also prepared and communicated with the chapter throughout my time as vice president of Membership.
Workshops.
I planned over 30 workshops and a retreat in the year I was Vice President of Membership. Each workshop was designed with a specific goal and lesson. The retreat was a weekend-long overnight stay. I planned each day for a fun, organized, but flexible schedule. A group of sorority women was given a log cabin to share with sisters they should get to know more. Each day was a full day of workshops, games, and meals.
Meetings.
As President, I planned weekly chapter and executive board meetings. Each meeting lasted about one hour. We discussed issues such as; social calendar, budget, academics, sisterhood, and university issues. I led each meeting with open communication. Aside from these weekly meetings, I would often have meetings with chapter members during the week to listen to their concerns help them to come to a solutions.
